Our Leadership/ Team Captains

The fifth pillar of the IRONBOUND logo represents teamwork.  Team Captains are our leaders and are similar to a Board of Directors.  Team Captains are responsible for our overall strategy and are the guardians of the IRONBOUND mission.

He is a successful entrepreneur who is committed to opening doors for underserved youth through skill development and structured mentoring from accomplished entrepreneurial business owners and “fast track” members of the work force.

His vision is to make IRONBOUND USA a model for business involvement in incubating the entrepreneurs and successful workers of the future.  Gary continues to help create & develop the IRONBOUND educational programs and teaches those programs at IRONBOUND Dot Org partner schools. He holds a BS from the University of Southern California and a MBA from New York University.

Mike Steadman is the President of Ironbound Boxing & Education. Mike is 2010 graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. As the Head Coach of the Ironbound Boxing Academy, Mike embodies our mission of “more than boxing” to engage youth in personal brand building.

Upon graduation from the Naval Academy, Mike accepted a commission as an officer in the United States Marines. As Infantry Officer in the Marines, he deployed to Afghanistan, Japan, and the Philippines. In April of 2015, Mike left active duty, relocating to Newark to accept a directorship position at St. Benedict’s Preparatory School.

In the six years that he served as superintendent the schools and district became nationally recognized for moving from failing to high achieving entities and for embracing innovation.  In 2013 all four schools were named as four of the top schools in the USA by US News and World Report and including two that were recognized as United States Department of Education Blue Ribbon Schools.

Dr. Allison Frazier Jackson   When Olivia Cox-Phil searched the world for 10 outstanding women to model for career and motherhood, in her book, For Our Daughters: How Outstanding Women Worldwide Have Balanced Home & Career, she chose Dr. Allison Frazier Jackson as one of the 2 representatives for the United States. When the Wall Street Journal was looking for a role model for women ready and able to serve on Fortune 500 Boards of Directors, they selected Jackson. Both selections were a tribute to her 25+ years experience as a change manager with an international reputation for out-of-the-box thinking tied to developing leaders, continuous improvement, and innovation. She has served 21 CEOs in Fortune 500 firms, 5 NJ governors, and C-level executives in AT&T, Bristol Myers Squibb, Colgate Palmolive, Claridge Hotels, Harrah's Hotels, Holiday Inns, Merck, Ortho-Biotech and Ortho-Pharmaceuticals, Sprint, American Chemical Society, and National Science Foundation to name a few.

As Assistant Dean at Princeton University School of Engineering and Applied Science, Dr. Jackson reinvented the University's communications outreach to 30,000 alumni and 12,000 students by moving paper processes online and creating new visual representations of the School that included the diverse student, faculty, and alumni stakeholders. Beginning her college career at 14 years, Dr. Jackson has earned 5 degrees and has completed post-doctoral work at M.I.T. in large scale information systems design and at Stanford University in Integrated Supply Chain Management. She also studied at the Sarnoff Research Center while a Vice President at RCA Corporation through the "inventiate" program.

In addition to advising on strategic objectives, we are pleased and honored to have Dr. Jackson leading the IRONBOUND STEM initiative.
